DAVID HAMRICK PHOTOGRAPHY STREET TEAM-HELPING OUT THE COMMUNITY
Saturday found two of our Team Members helping out at the Four Corners Outreach Alliance food pantry. The food pantry is open the third Saturday of each month and because a lot of people are not able to come on Mondays, that Saturday will often be busy. Thankfully there was extra help this past Saturday with a couple of Beta Members from Trenton as well!
Being a member of David Hamrick Photography Senior Street Team or our Tween Team means doing a Community Service Project. We love that our team members are not only helping those in need, but they’ve also been extremely helpful to the current volunteers at the food pantry. Maegan is a senior from Van Alstyne and Alexyss is a senior from Bells and both are part of our 2019 David Hamrick Photography Senior Street Team.
The outside of the pantry got a little facelift in the way of new signs! Banners were installed to replace the existing worn down signage. Then we all got right to work!
Groceries constantly need to be rotated. This ensures that items with older dates are used before items with newer dates.
Each client signs in and then their file is pulled. Documents are gone through to make sure items are current. New clients are processed through and given information on how the food pantry can help them.
Clients are helped with the assorted grocery items they’ve chosen as well as the various meat items. All of these items get bagged, some of the items get weighed and then items get loaded into the grocery cart.
Our Team Members then assist the clients with carrying and loading the food items into their vehicles.
Saturday found us assisting 18 families.
Each time we’ve worked at Four Corners, the girls have completely enjoyed their experience and have said how they would love to help out again! The volunteers at the food pantry have appreciated the girls’ help and loved having them there!
